During expenditure report control, the PDF can be shown in a pop-up window for convenient controller access. As appropriate, controllers can print or remove the lost receipt affidavit.
Return It As Soon As Possible
With a few exceptions, you’re going to get the best results the sooner to the purchase date you try and return the item. This is especially important if the store has a policy about returning items within 90 days, or some other specified period of time.
If you’re after this date, however, you can try returning it without a receipt and say it was a gift—if they can’t track the purchase date, then there’s no way for them to know how quickly it was returned. Having it in the original packaging helps as well.
Be Nice and Stay Calm
This is quite crucial. It is seldom the responsibility of the customer service representative that you had to wait in line, that your goods was damaged, or that you do not have a receipt.
In most circumstances, they want to be there as little as you do, and you’ll make them want to assist you even less if you’re nasty; and because you’re often the one trying to violate shop regulation, you need them on your side as much as possible.

Bring In Other Evidence
The phrase “that was a gift” has little effectiveness. Try it, but if it doesn’t work, try again with another proof of your purchase (at another store or with a different representative). This means you must produce the credit card you used to purchase the item, or (even better) a bank statement showing the transaction on a certain date.
It won’t always work, but it’s best to be as prepared as possible before entering a store (and obviously, this strategy won’t work if the item was intended to be a present). Alternately, you may swap it for something else at the same store, or at the very least, purchase something else while returning the item. Even if they are absolutely unrelated — for example, if you’re returning a computer keyboard but purchasing a few DVDs — it will demonstrate that you are a regular client and are not attempting to pull a quick one.

Whether it’s shop credit, exchanging the item immediately, or (if it’s defective) obtaining a repair or replacement, you’ll receive a greater value with a compromise than if you retained the unwanted item.
Last-Ditch Effort: Wait Until the Holidays
This is emphasized towards the conclusion since, in general, you should return a product as soon as possible for the best outcome (particularly if it is damaged). However, if you are unsuccessful, consider waiting until after a holiday season.
Even if the item wasn’t purchased as a Christmas gift, the end of December is a good time to return it if it’s a timeless item (one that wasn’t plainly sold earlier in the year). You may have to wait a bit longer in line, but because so many people are returning presents at that time, retailers’ return policies are typically much more flexible.

The Missing Receipt Declaration is a new functionality included in SAP Concur mobile app versions 9.61 and beyond. This functionality is compatible with both iOS and Android.
Follow these steps to establish a declaration for your lost receipt using the SAP Concur mobile app:
- Select the cost entry to which you wish to add the Missing Receipt Declaration from inside the mobile application.

How do I add a Missing Receipt Affidavit to my expense in Concur Expense?
In an open expenditure report, pick the cost line entry for which a receipt is lacking. Click the Receipts link next. Select Missing Receipt Affidavit and then Accept & Create from the Receipt choices.
